Academic Advising

Provides academic advising and guidance to ensure degree eligibility, and oversees official administrative processing. Helps students through the discernment process as they explore their curricular options and develop a curricular and co-curricular plan for their time at Notre Dame. Provides academic advising services to current students, potential majors, minors, and others. Utilizes confidential information and conducts confidential conversations to provide these services. Meets one-on-one in office as well as in group settings to provide advice and counsel on curriculum-specific matters, major exploration issues, affiliation, College and University policy and procedure, and non-academic factors affecting academic performance. Stays abreast of emerging trends in the academic disciplines served as well as contemporary approaches and theories related to academic advising at the collegiate level.
