This year, Notre Dame Human Resources, Athletics and the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs are proud to celebrate our veteran staff and faculty during the football season. All staff and faculty veterans and military service members are eligible to receive one free ticket to the Pittsburgh game on Oct. 28.
To ensure we offer a football ticket to all those who qualify, NDHR is asking colleagues to check that they have properly self-identified their veteran status.
NDHR’s ongoing Count Me In Campaign is meant to encourage more Notre Dame employees to voluntarily review and self-identify their status categories; self-identification status categories include gender, race, disability and veteran status. This information is critical to assessing current policies and practices, in addition to understanding how to better provide all employees with the tools and resources they need to succeed.
To obtain a ticket to the Pittsburgh game, please complete the following steps:
Self-identify as a veteran in the Self Service Center.
Complete this request to indicate your interest in a free ticket, as well as additional tickets for purchase, to the Pittsburgh game.
Confirmation of your tickets will be sent to the email you provide, and your e-tickets will be sent 48 hours prior to kickoff.

Why should I voluntarily self-identify as a veteran?
There are two principal reasons why Notre Dame Human Resources encourages employees to self-ID. As a government contractor, the University is subject to federal regulations that require the documentation of veteran employees. However, the priority in this initiative is to enhance programs and resources that make Notre Dame even more welcoming and where veterans belong. In addition to connecting current colleagues with additional support, the University wants military-connected prospective faculty, staff and students to know they will be welcomed, valued and respected here.
How do I receive a ticket for the football game?
In order to request your ticket(s), you need to ensure you have appropriately self-identified your veteran status through the Self Service Center. Once you have completed that, please submit your ticket request at the link below.
All ticket requests must be received by Friday, Oct. 13. Additional tickets can be purchased for $80 each. To claim tickets, you must be logged in to your Notre Dame Athletics ticket account under your University email address.
Orders will be fulfilled while supplies last.
I have a disability that requires special access. How do I get accessible seating at the football game?

When will I receive my football ticket(s)?
Tickets will be emailed 48 hours prior to kickoff. Seats requested/purchased together will be seated together.
I’m ready to voluntarily self-identify as a veteran. How do I do that?
Go to the Self Service Center.
Choose “My Profile” at the top of the Suggested Resources.
Scroll down to “Quick Links” and choose “Biographical Info View & Update.”
Under the “Biographical” dropdown, choose 🖉 Edit for “Veteran Status.”
Fill out the online form and click Submit.
