The University of Notre Dame offers many benefits to help the emotional well-being of its faculty and staff. One of those benefits is free access to a premium subscription to the Calm App. The Calm app provides tools to help you relax, focus, and rest, offering guided sessions on sleep, meditation, and relaxation.
Allison Malecki, a Project Manager in IT Strategy, Planning &Architecture, shared her experience with the Sleep Stories and Daily Trip programs:
I've signed up to be a Calm Business Ambassador I love it so much! I've been using the sleep stories for months and they are a lifesaver! I also try to do the Daily Trip over lunch and find it beneficial to my mental well-being. However, even sitting with the beach sounds playing while I work has an amazing benefit! I taught the Moreau First-Year Studies class and I can tell you that the app was instrumental in students' lives this past school year.
The Daily Trip program is one of many great meditation programs the Calm App offers and might feel like a mini “trip” for your mind. This program is taught by Jeff Warren, who also is the instructor for the How to Meditate program. Be ready to journey through these applied mind-body adventures!
