For supervisors and managers. These sessions are for supervisors and designated leave administrator(s) for a department. Participants will learn how to recognize a potential Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) or Short Term Income Replacement (STIR) absence event and what to do; when to communicate with staff on leave and what’s ok and not ok to ask; when and how to submit appropriate paid time; return to work considerations and processes and more.

NEW Summer Management Essentials (SME)

Summer Management Essentials (SME) is a new four-part program designed to help refresh managers with information
and best practices in management. Each session that makes up the program includes a mixture of discussions, case-studies, and other experiential activities. It is our hope that you will take the time to apply what you learn in the Summer Management Essentials (SME) program with your team. Sign up now, as this program is only offered in the summer! NOTE: You can sign up for all four sessions, or pick and choose the session(s) most interesting to you.

Managing with Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Developing Your Self-Awareness (SME)

Date/Time: Tue., May 21, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Emotional self-awareness is a vital skill for managing emotional intelligence. Develop this skill by learning how to quickly
recognize your emotions as you are experiencing them; be in control of your emotions vs. allowing your emotions to control
you; and choose the best course of action. Prior to the program, you will complete the EQ-i 2.0™ assessment online; you will
receive your personal EQ Leadership Report at the program.

Developmental Dialogues (SME)

Date/Time: Tue., June 25, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Learn how to assist your staff’s development in their current role, as well as guide them in their longer-term career
development. Through “best practices,” learn the most effective development methods and how to conduct a truly
developmental dialogue that supports your staff’s development needs and wants.

The 7 Habits for Managers: Managing Yourself and Leading Others (SME)

Date/Time: Wed., July 24, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Built on the popular framework of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, The 7 Habits for Managers® will equip team
leaders and managers to address basic issues and improve how they achieve sustainable results through and with others.
It is designed to help managers with develop new mindsets, skills, and tools towards becoming a great leader who can
consistently deliver results.

Crucial Accountability (SME)

Date/Time: Wed., Aug 14, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

This Crucial Accountability® workshop teaches a straightforward methodology for effectively holding others accountable that’s based on more than twenty-five years of research. It uses video, group discussions, skill practice, and real-life application to make the course both entertaining and engaging. Registered participants will be sent pre-work to be completed ahead of the class.
