Managing Your Weight Workshop This eight-session, interactive-based facilitator led program is designed to be delivered to both small and larger groups onsite. The program is founded on the researched-based Harvard Food Pyramid and combines diet modification, increased physical activity, and behavior modification. $0 Wellness Center
Yoga Participation Course A trained yoga instructor will come to your department space to guide all faculty and staff, from beginners to the more advanced in a session of yoga. $75 RecSports
Mind/Body Class Participation Yoga, Pilates, or Tai Chi instructor will come to department space to guide faculty and staff in the practice. You may choose to hold the class at RecSports facility rather than in department. $50 RecSports
Fitness Class Participation Zumba, Body Pump, Cycling, or Cardio instructor will come to department space to instruct faculty and staff. You may choose to hold the class at RecSports facility rather than in department. $25 RecSports
Shamrock Shape-Up Participation A RecSports instructor will bring exercise equipment to your department and provide instruction on how to use through a four-part series. $25+ RecSports
RecSports Equipment Orientation Workshop A RecSports instructor will provide a tour of the gym and tips on how to properly use the equipment. $0 RecSports
WalkND Participation Join WalkND as a department and compete for prizes for reaching step goals. $0 RecSports
Yoga at the Snite Participation A trained yoga instructor will guide faculty and staff through a yoga practice at the Snite Museum of Art as you take in your surroundings. Available times vary. $50 RecSports
Yoga on Location Participation A trained yoga instructor will guide faculty and staff through a yoga practice at a peaceful location on the Notre Dame campus, such as on the dock of St. Joseph Beach. $50 RecSports
Boxing Class Participation Punch your stress away by taking a boxing class as a department. Receive training on proper boxing form and put it into practice with punching bags. $25 + $5/person RecSports
Tennis Class Participation Learn the sport of tennis as a department. Receive a lesson from a tennis instructor and play a match against friends. $40 RecSports
Golf Lesson Participation Lean about golf etiquiette from a golf pro. varies RecSports
5 Weeks to a 5k Participation Meet with an instructor once a week for five weeks in order to prepare to run a 5k. varies RecSports
Broomball Participation Schedule a time for your department to play broomball at the Compton for one hour. Broomball is a team recreational ice game played with a ball, “brooms” and nets. No skates needed. $200 Compton
Learn to Curl Participation Learn to curl with your department at the Compton for one hour. Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice towards a target area which is segmented into four circles. $300 Compton
Adult Hockey League Participation Get a group of colleagues together to join the adult hockey league at Compton. Varies Compton
Curling League Participation Get a group of colleagues together to join the curling league at Compton. Varies Compton
Learn to Skate Participation Learn to ice skate with your department at Compton for one hour. Varies Compton
B.A.D. Hockey Participation Get a group of colleagues together to join the Beginner Adult Development (B.A.D.) Hockey League at Compton. Offered in spring and fall for 8 weeks. Varies Compton
Pickup Hockey Participation Schedule a time for your department to play pickup hockey at Compton for one hour. Varies Compton
Nutritional Counseling Workshop A Registered Dietitian will give a presentation regarding nutrition. $0 jantonel@nd.edu
Healthy Eating Options on Campus Workshop A Registered Dietitian will provide details about healthy options and nutritional information for specific dining locations available on campus. Can be turned into a walking tour. $0 jantonel@nd.edu
Cooking Demo Demonstration A Registered Dietitian will discuss nutritional details and a Notre Dame chef will prepare a health dish while demonstrating cooking techniques. Includes a food sampling (summer grilling, sushi rolling, omelets, grilling in foil, vegetarian, summer smoothies, etc.). Varies jantonel@nd.edu
