Jumpstart the year with a well-being plan
Ready to put your New Year's resolutions in action? The Notre Dame Wellness Center can help you develop a personalized plan to improve your total wellbeing. You have access to many healthcare services, such as primary care, wellness coaching, mental health, chronic condition management and pharmacy.
Simple ways to encourage better wellbeing this year:
Give your diet a boost. Include healthy foods like fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains into your diet and drink plenty of water.
Move your body. Simply moving more and working up to 30 minutes of physical activity each day can improve your energy and overall health.
Get restful sleep each night. Try to get 7-8 hours every night. Talk to your provider if you’re having trouble getting enough sleep.
Get vaccinated. Protect yourself and others by getting recommended vaccines.
Quit smoking, vaping and other tobacco products. Seek support to quit.
Keep the recommended alcohol limits in mind. If you drink, try to keep the recommended limits in mind. According to the CDC, this would be 2 drinks or less a day for men and 1 drink or less a day for women.
Take time for yourself. Prioritize self-care and reach out for help when you need it.
- Stay connected. Surround yourself with a strong support system and invest in your relationships for better mind and body health.
