Notre Dame Human Resources knows just how hard it can be to care for you and your family, particularly at the start of a new academic year. Over this past year, NDHR has expanded the well-being and family benefits available to employees to help you feel prepared to manage the well-being of you and your family.

Family Services, within NDHR, supports employees with their family and caregiving needs, from expecting a child to caring for an elderly parent. Consider scheduling an appointment with Family Services Consultant Maureen Baska to discuss your specific needs and questions related to expecting a child and preparing for a leave, newborn needs and returning to work, and caring for children, aging parents or a spouse.
Need assistance finding care for your family?
Integrating your personal and professional lives can be challenging, particularly when caregiving is added to the mix. Employees facing caregiving demands will find Cariloop to be a useful resource. This new resource launched on July 1 and is a concierge service that connects members to dedicated, licensed and certified care coaches to assist in finding long-term solutions for your loved ones such as daycare for children or regular in-home care for elderly parents. The empathetic, caring, and timely support from care coaches will ease the burden of caregiving logistics.
Back-up care is equally as important as regular care for those days that don’t go as planned. As of July 1, Vivvi replaced Bright Horizons as the University’s back-up care provider for both child and elder care. It provides in-home and center-based back-up care options as well as virtual tutoring and care cash reimbursements. When your regular care falls through for a day or your kids are off school for an in-service day, contact Vivvi to provide support and care.
