Annita Lucchesi serves as the founding Executive Director of Sovereign Bodies Institute (SBI). She is of Cheyenne descent and currently lives on her Cheyenne homelands in Montana. She is a survivor of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and trafficking. Outside her role at SBI, Annita is pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Arizona's School of Geography, Development, & Environment, and is a Graduate Scholar at UA's Collaboratory for Indigenous Data Governance. She will be speaking about her own experiences and the Sovereign Bodies Institute, which builds on Indigenous traditions of data gathering and knowledge transfer to create, disseminate, and put into action research on gender and sexual violence against Indigenous people.

The Virtual Lunch & Learn will be held on Thursday, November 11 from noon - 1 p.m.
