The University’s officers and the Office of Human Resources know how to throw a party, starting with the venue choice: Notre Dame Stadium. The annual staff picnic lunch took place on Friday, July 26, serving up barbeque favorites on the concourse and entertainment on the field.

Landscape CartsIt wasn’t hard to figure out where Landscape Services had lunch.

A professional DJ got the crowd going with pop music, which inspired some to jump into line dances. Others chose to play Frisbee on the turf on what was a beautiful, mild summer day. (Special thanks to Heather Moriconi in Development, Anna McKeever in HR, and Amy North at the McGrath Institute for Church Life, for the photos.)

If this looks like fun, consider attending the Opening of the Academic Year Mass and Picnic on Tuesday, August 27. That picnic, held in the evening, will also take place in the stadium and feature entertainment on the field. (Details from the “Fun Committee” coming soon…) The Opening Mass and Picnic are intended for all students, faculty, staff and their families.
