Pay During Quarantine or Isolation Policy

To support a safe and healthy environment and encourage staff members to seek the appropriate care to quarantine or isolate if needed, a new temporary pay policy is going into effect. From August 1 through December 2020, staff members will have access to up to 10 COVID-19 leave days. These days can be used if staff members are unable to work because of a medically directed quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19 for themselves or an immediate family member for whom they provide care.

Utilizing COVID-19 Leave Days
In order to utilize COVID-19 leave days, eligible staff members may request the days as described below and must also provide information from a medical provider indicating the need to isolate or quarantine.

  • Non-exempt staff members must provide a note from a medical provider to their manager /supervisor and submit their hours in UltraTime using the new Emergency Absence Hourly (EAH) code.
  • Exempt staff members must fill out the COVID-19 Leave Days Form and provide a note from a medical provider to their manager/supervisor.
