What is the difference between an exempt and nonexempt employee?
An exempt employee is exempt from overtime pay as described in the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and a nonexempt employee is one who does not meet the exemption standards under (FLSA) and therefore is eligible for overtime pay.
