Employment FAQ
Once I have decided upon a candidate what do I do?
Contact your Recruiting consultant to confirm proposed starting pay and to ensure a Notre Dame application on file. This will help insure adherence to applicable University policies, salary practices and federal law.
Once the starting salary has been established you may make an employment offer contingent upon the candidate successfully completing several pre-employment checks. These pre-employment checks include:
1. Indiana Sex Offender Registry
2. Criminal Records Verification
3. Pre-Employment Drug Test
The checks will be conducted through the Office of Human Resources and the results communicated to you as soon as they become available. The process normally takes up to four business days once the screens are initiated. The candidate cannot begin employment until we have received the results of the drug test.
