How long are my children covered on my Meritain HMO Plans?
Your child is eligible until either of the following occurs:
- he/she reaches age 19
- he/she is no longer dependent on you for at least 50% of his/her financial support.
If your child is a full-time student and unmarried, he/she may remain covered until he/she reaches age 25. His/her coverage ends on the last day of the month in which he/she turned 19 or 25, or is no longer eligible to be on the plan.
