Eric Love brings experience, unique philosophy to staff diversity and inclusion

Thirty years later, Eric Love still remembers the words of a junior high classmate: “You’re the first black guy I’ve ever talked to.”

“I thought, ‘wow, this interaction needs to be positive because it’ll determine how you treat the second one,’” he says.

ND Toastmasters club celebrates first year

The Notre Dame Toastmasters Club is proud to be celebrating its first birthday.

The club is the local chapter of Toastmasters International, a non-profit educational organization with over 14,000 clubs in 122 countries. Toastmasters organizations help members become more confident leaders by recognizing that good leaders tend to be good communicators. Read full article

403(b) contribution limits have increased

Good news for faculty and staff who want to make maximum contributions to the University’s 403(b) Retirement Plan: the IRS has increased the contribution limits for the 2015 calendar year.

In 2015, eligible participants may voluntarily contribute up to $18,000 to the plan. Participants age 50 or older by the end of 2015 may make an additional “catch-up” contribution of $6,000. Read full article

Setting up voluntary contributions is now paperless. Effective January 2, 2015, faculty and staff who make voluntary contributions to the University of Notre Dame 403(b) Retirement Plan (or who wish to begin doing so) may make changes to their voluntary contributions online.

Mammograms on Campus: January 12 & 13

This preventive offering is available annually for no cost to female Notre Dame faculty and staff enrolled in a University medical plan, beginning at age 40 (women age 35-39 may receive one baseline exam at no cost), and is “in-network” for both CHA and Select networks.
