Notre Dame earns fifth consecutive 'Great College to Work For' honor

For the fifth year in a row, the Chronicle of Higher Education has named the University of Notre Dame to the honor roll on its annual list of Great Colleges to Work For. The honor roll, the Chronicle notes, recognizes the “best of the best” among the colleges surveyed for the list.

New: check employee I-9 status online

A new online tool has been developed to help business managers identify employees who do not have a completed Form I-9 on file with the University.

Form I-9, a verification of employment eligibility, must be completed by all new employees prior to the employee’s first day of work. Employers who permit employees to begin (or continue) work without completing form I-9 could face fines and other penalties. Read full article

SBC obstetric care at SJRMC to cease August 30

An important update for expecting patients of South Bend Clinic’s OB practice

Effective August 30, 2013, the South Bend Clinic will no longer provide obstetric care at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center – the anchor hospital for Notre Dame’s Select Health Network. As of July 1, Dr. Michele Whitt will no longer provide obstetric care at the South Bend Clinic. Due to the reduction in personnel, the South Bend Clinic will cease obstetric care at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center after August 30. The South Bend Clinic will continue obstetric care at Memorial Hospital. Read full article
