Announcing "We Are All ND," University-wide staff diversity training

Published: March 28, 2016

Dear Notre Dame Staff,

In his Letter on Diversity and Inclusion last September, Fr. John outlined several initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion within our Notre Dame community. He asked each of us to “recommit ourselves to building a community of respect, love and mutual support” at Notre Dame.

University-wide training

These commitments include the presentation of training programs on multicultural competencies to all Notre Dame employees.

For the past few months, University leaders and managers have led the way by participating in a day-and-a-half training program designed specifically for those with responsibilities in leadership, management or hiring.

Staff training begins in April

The next wave of this campus-wide training commitment begins in April with the introduction of a half-day workshop for staff. We Are All ND is an interactive and engaging program that encourages each of us to take ownership of our campus environment and do our part to build and maintain a culture of inclusion where all are welcomed.

Over the next few months, all staff not currently in a supervisory role are asked to attend an offering of We Are All ND. Please register in eNDeavor for one of these upcoming offerings:

  • April 21
  • May 19
  • June 2
  • June 16
  • June 22
  • July 13

Sessions may fill quickly, so please register in eNDeavor soon to secure your preferred session.

To register in eNDeavor, browse the Human Resources learning programs for the course titled “We Are All ND.”

Please work with your manager to ensure that your normal work schedule permits the training offering you choose. Additional offerings may be added as needed.

This is an exciting chapter in Notre Dame’s history, a time when we are united and re-energized behind a common goal: making the Notre Dame workplace more inclusive, diverse, and welcoming than ever before. Thank you for being a part of it, and doing your part for it.

Sincerely,

Robert K. McQuade, Vice President for Human Resources
University of Notre Dame
