Last July marked the seventh consecutive year that the University of Notre Dame has been named a Great College to Work For by the Chronicle of Higher Education. We are also proud to have earned a place on the Great Colleges Honor Roll for six of the past seven years.
This recognition is the result of survey feedback offered confidentially by members of our own community. Notre Dame continuously seeks to attract the highest-caliber faculty and staff, and it is satisfying to know that — thanks to your support — the benefits of a Notre Dame career are well-regarded both at home and nationwide.
The ninth annual Great Colleges survey begins the week of Monday, March 14, when some 1,200 randomly selected faculty and staff will receive an email survey from ModernThink. The results of this survey will determine which colleges and universities are recognized this year.
If you receive a survey, please take the time—an estimated 20 minutes—to complete it. Your survey will also benefit the University and your department by helping us to better understand and communicate our strengths and opportunities. Though the survey is distinct from other Notre Dame assessments such as ND Voice or ImproveND, the confidential results will help us gauge how well we are achieving our core mission and goals, and how Notre Dame compares to our peers.
Should we again be designated a Great College to Work For, we will all have another reason to be proud to work at Notre Dame.
Yours in Notre Dame,
Robert K. McQuade
Vice President for Human Resources
