Employ.nd.edu, the University’s pre-employment system, will be unavailable as of January 15, 2016.
To establish a more efficient process, and to provide greater security to candidates by eliminating the need for hiring departments to capture social security numbers and other sensitive personal information, the University has partnered with HireRight, one of the world’s largest providers of employee background check services.
Beginning January 15, 2016, pre-employment screenings are initiated by your HR Recruiter for all full-time and part-time staff, temporary, students and volunteer positions via HireRight. As a result of this change, the NDEmploy application has been eliminated.
The most significant change is that candidates will enter their own personal information, including their name, date of birth, social security number, and home address directly into the HireRight system.
Once an applicant has accepted a job offer, the hiring manager should immediately notify their recruiter to determine if pre-employment screenings are required. If required, the pre-employment process will be initiated by the recruiter. The candidate will then receive an email from email@example.com to the email address disclosed during the application process. The HireRight email includes step-by-step instructions to complete the online process. Hiring managers will receive a copy of the email that is sent to the candidate.
If a drug test is required, your recruiter will inform the candidate on the process including the next steps the candidate needs to take for that test.
Hiring Managers will continue to receive an email notification including the employee’s ndID# and next steps following successful completion of all pre-employment requirements.
