New: set up voluntary 403(b) contributions online

Published: January 08, 2015

Setting up voluntary contributions is now paperless. Effective January 2, 2015, faculty and staff who make voluntary contributions to the University of Notre Dame 403(b) Retirement Plan (or who wish to begin doing so) may make changes to their voluntary contributions online.

To begin, change or cancel your voluntary contributions:

  • Log in to and follow the Contribution Amount link under Quick Links
  • Or, call a Fidelity representative at 877-963-0242

Existing elections will continue; if you don’t wish to make a change, no action is needed.

What is a voluntary contribution? A voluntary contribution is any amount contributed to the 403(b) Retirement Plan above what is mandatory for faculty and exempt staff. All faculty and staff, whether exempt, non-exempt or temporary, may make voluntary contributions beginning at the time of hire or anytime thereafter.
