Notre Dame Faculty-Staff Classifieds (NetID required)
Who can use it? Only University employees. The site is similar to Craigslist.com or newspaper classifieds with the added convenience of a limited, University-only audience.
What items may be listed? Sellers may list any item in any of the following pre-established categories: Automobiles, Clothing, Furniture, Housing, Services, Sporting Goods, Tickets, and Miscellaneous. Categories may be added or removed as future use warrants.
May I sell athletics tickets? Yes. ND Athletics tickets may be sold pursuant to the University’s ticket resale policy. (That is, at face value only.)
What items may not be listed? ND Athletics tickets may not be listed or sold at greater than face value. The guidelines posted on the site also expressly restrict the promotion of personal business and the marketing of firearms or sexually explicit items.
Is the site moderated? Yes and no. The University will not manage transactions – the University is simply providing a forum for buyers and sellers to manage their own transactions. However, items that violate the site’s policies may be removed.
How do I access the site? The site will appear as a “Quick App” in the HR Resources Channel on InsideND. (Look for the HR Channel under the “My Resources” tab.) A NetID login is required. Off-campus users must connect through VPN. The site works best with the Internet Explorer web browser.
Whose idea was this? Yours! The idea was submitted by an employee to the University’s Bright Ideas website, and was further developed as part of a Leading with Impact team project. Final implementation was coordinated by the Offices of Human Resources and Information Technology.
