Welcome to the University of Notre Dame
The Office of Human Resources welcomes you to the University of Notre Dame! We are pleased that you are now part of the Notre Dame community.
Our goal is to pave the way for your smooth entry and easy access to all that Notre Dame has to offer. To accomplish this, we need to collect certain information from you prior to your arrival. With the new academic year, many of your benefits will become effective on July 1 and your first paycheck will be July 31st for Regular Faculty. For Visiting Faculty, the benefits become effective on August 1 and your first paycheck with be August 31. To assure you have the benefits that are best suited for you and your family (if applicable), please review the material in the Benefits Enrollment Guide. Return your completed forms to Human Resources by July 15. Please take a few moments to review the following requirements:

New Hire Paperwork (required)
- *Employment Eligibility (I-9) Form
This form may be completed prior to your arrival on campus by appearing before a Notary, (most banks will have a Notary on staff). Notary Instructions for Form I-9 - *Tax Withholding Forms: Federal W-4 and Indiana State W-4 Forms (Click on WH-4 to access PDF)

- Please attach a voided check for checking account or deposit slip for savings account.

Upon your arrival to the South Bend area, you will have the opportunity to attend a new hire orientation session to learn more about all of your benefits and the University.
