Late Cancellation / No-show Policy
The University encourages and strongly supports the professional, personal and career development of our staff and faculty and strives to provide meaningful learning activities and programs.
It is expected that you will work with your supervisor to mutually identify your development needs for your current position and/or future career goals and to determine whether there are training programs that can meet those needs. Your supervisor should be aware of your enrollment in these programs so that time is made available for you to attend.
Once you enroll in a program offered in the Endeavor learning management system, that seat is reserved for you unless you cancel. Due to high demand, many programs fill up quickly and accrue waiting lists. If you are unable to attend your scheduled program, it is important that your seat be made available to another participant.
An enrollee who cannot attend a scheduled program must cancel at least three business days in advance. An enrollee who does not attend a scheduled program or who cancels the enrollment fewer than three business days in advance will incur a $100.00 charge to the enrollee’s department FOAPAL. When a cancellation fee is incurred, a notice of the charge will be sent to the enrollee, the enrollee’s supervisor, and the department business manager.
To cancel an enrollment, log in to endeavor.nd.edu and click on Learning>My Learning>Cancel Enrollment. Enrollees who do not have access to a computer should contact askHR at 631-5900 or email askHR@nd.edu.
An exception to this policy may be made for a last-minute illness or family emergency requiring absence from work. No exception will be made for an absence or late cancellation resulting from an unanticipated change in work load or schedule.
‘Series’ programs or other programs with their own attendance and notification requirements (such as Today’s Administrative Professional, Frontline Supervision, or Leading with Impact) may not be subject to this policy. Please consult with Learning & Development staff in the Office of Human Resources to inquire about this policy’s application to a series program.
